How can you be tested?
If you have allergy related symptoms, it is sensible to see a doctor and let yourself tested to see if you are allergic or not. The doctor draws a small amount of blood and he can request an allergy blood test to the laboratory.
A blood test has a lot of advantages to other ways of testing:
- you get a reliable result
- medication does not influence the result, so you don't have to stop your medication
- with one tube of blood one can perform more than 100 allergy tests; your back or your arm will stay free from pricks or scratches
- absolutely no risk of an anaphylactic reaction
Which tests?
There are some screening tests for allergy that can be requested by the doctor:
- Inhalant screening
Inhalant screening: ImmunoCAP® Phadiatop®...?
- Food screening
